Ricky Re (born Riccardo Re) was born in Parma, Italy on
July 24, 1992. He conducted Classical Lyceum studies for five years before graduating at Modena's Dante Alighieri superior High School in 2011.
At the age of 19, he moved to Los Angeles, California, where he successfully completed his BFA in Filmmaking, graduating with honors.
During his time in film school, Ricky wrote, produced and directed two shorts, a commercial and a music video, before moving on to his latest project, 'La Punta' ('The Meetup'), a black and white, 16mm short film, entirely shot in his hometown. La Punta premiered at the Short Film Corner of the Festival de Cannes 2016.
