Rajendra Thakurathi

Rajendra Thakurathi is a writer, director, and producer with experience across studio films, television, and indie projects. His credits include 20th Century Fox's sleeper-hit Barbarian (2022), Locked (2025) starring Anthony Hopkins and Bill Skarsgård, Arcadian (2024) starring Nicolas Cage, and Disney Pixar's Onward (2020). A graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, he began his storytelling career at Pixar, BuzzFeed, and The New York Times.

Named a Filmmaker to Watch by Cinephilia and Beyond, his work has screened worldwide. My Claire (2016) was the subject of an Oxford University journal article. His feature film Six Feet, starring Raymond Cruz (Breaking Bad) was executive produced by Adam Somer (Monkey Man, Ghostbusters: Afterlife).
