- Michal was born in Karviná, Czech Republic (then Czechoslovakia). In 2011 graduated in History (BA) from the University of Ostrava. He was involved in funding of a few independent films in production. As of 2023 he lives in Prague, Czech Republic, where he studies Public Administration (MA) at the Czech University of Life Sciences.

- Michal was a statistician in the volleyball club SKV Havirov during its last two seasons (2013 to 2015) in the Czech highest competition, before the club decided to end its presence in the Extraleague for financial reasons.
