Hungani Ndlovu

Hungani Ndlovu is a South African actor, dancer, DJ, producer, and content creator, widely recognised for his dynamic screen presence and his commitment to advancing the entertainment industry. He is also a passionate advocate for actors’ rights and men’s mental health.
Hungani honed his craft in the United States, where he trained and worked in both Los Angeles and New York City. Upon returning to South Africa, he founded The Actors Playground, an artist development studio dedicated to nurturing emerging talent and demystifying the business of entertainment. Driven by a deep commitment to empowerment, particularly among young people, Hungani is also the founder of the Hungani Ndlovu Foundation, which focuses on youth development as well as men’s health and wellness initiatives. An Executive Committee member of the South African Guild of Actors (SAGA), Hungani actively champions fair representation, industry regulation, and improved working conditions for performers in South Africa.
On screen, he currently stars as Tbose on SABC 1’s long-running drama Skeem Saam, and is widely celebrated for his breakout role as Romeo on Etv’s Scandal!. In 2024, Hungani and his partner Dimakatso Calisa emerged as winners of the award-winning reality competition Tropika Island of Treasure: Season 11 - Zanzibar, further cementing his status as one of South Africa’s most versatile and influential entertainers.
