Amira Jacobs is a Canadian screenwriter and director who came onto the filmmaking scene as an actor and street dancer before finding her true calling on the other side of the lens.

She is driven to write inspiring stories about the unseen souls living in our periphery; treading quietly until something breaks, exploding in miracles.
Frankie and the Doll (2022) represents Amira's directorial debut that has earned her and her team multiple awards and screenings across the globe. It is a personal triumph as she is now a recognized artist who can represent Canada on the world stage. She also wrote and starred in House of Light (2014), a short dance film that premiered in Mykonos, Greece in 2015.
