Biography

Tommy James Murphy is a Canadian actor, writer, producer, and entrepreneur born in Scarborough, Ontario, and is of Irish and Indigenous (Mi’kmaq) descent. Known for his versatility as a performer, Tommy has appeared in a variety of film and television productions including Entropic, Steven Spielberg’s television series Lucky 7, and USA Network’s Covert Affairs. His career has also led to collaborations with actor and filmmaker James Franco, working as both a stand-in and double on multiple productions.

Tommy is the CEO and co-founder of RavinMurph Pictures, an independent Canadian production company focused on original film and television development. Through RavinMurph Pictures, he has worked across producing, writing, acting, and project development within the independent film industry.

In addition to his acting career, Tommy is an accomplished writer and producer. He made his starring role debut in the feature film Recall (2018), which he also co-wrote and produced. The film later secured worldwide distribution on platforms including Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
