Biography

Jim Robison is an AACTA-nominated producer, FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics) winner the Co-founder of Lunar Pictures, an Australian production company focused on bold storytelling and international collaboration. He developed his screen production skills while working across departments on major studio Oscar winning films including Hacksaw Ridge (dir. Mel Gibson), Mad Max: Fury Road (dir.George Miller), and The Great Gatsby (dir. Baz Luhrmann). These experiences laid the groundwork for his transition into producing independent film and television projects.

Robison's projects have screened at international film festivals across Europe, Asia, North America, and Australia. His credits include Switzerland, directed by Anton Corbijn, with cinematography by Academy Award nominee Robbie Ryan and featuring Academy Award winner Helen Mirren, Olivia Cooke, and Alden Ehrenreich.

Robison has produced a range of screen content across features, television, and digital platforms. His work includes The Room Below, a feature film starring Golden Globe winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers & Alyssa Sutherland. He served as producer on The School, which marked Milly Alcock's first casting in a feature film, and played a key role in casting one of Samara Weaving's early screen performances in a web series following her time on Home and Away.

He has also collaborated with acclaimed director Alex Proyas on multiple projects, contributing to the development and production of genre-driven storytelling with a cinematic focus.

Through Lunar Pictures, he continues to focus on developing and producing emotionally grounded, internationally resonant screen stories.

In 2015 to 2016 Jim Robison produced a number of films and cast rising star Samara Weaving (The Babysitter, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, Ash Vs Evil Dead, Picnic at Hanging Rock) Bianca Bradey (Wyrmwood, Rendel) and top TV Soap Opera Australian star Home & Away's Shane Withington and Simon Westaway (The Thin Red Line, Underbelly and Happy Feet). Jim also worked with the President of the Casting Guild of Australia to cast Nicholas Hope (Bad Boy Bubby, Truth) and Will McDonald in his second feature film "The School".
