Thales Banzai is a Brazilian filmmaker whose career has spanned from experimental short films shot on VHS in the 90s to directing and producing shorts, music videos and commercials. His documentary "Two Women, Two Lives, One Struggle," became the most viewed Brazilian Doc-Short on YouTube 2017. He's been recognized at Brazilian festivals like "Festival do Minuto," "Rio Short Film Festival," and "Curta-8." In the early 2000s, he transitioned to Mini-DV for skate promos, eventually moving into professional productions that saw his work showcased at major international film festivals and on platforms like Nowness. He served as associate producer on the Rio Film Festival award-winning documentary "Favela is Fashion."
