  • Harvey Zielinski is a transmasculine actor, writer and director working across stage and screen. Harvey’s debut feature and first screenplay, SWEET MILK LAKE, premieres at the Melbourne International Film Festival in 2026. The film is nominated for the Bright Horizons Award, Blackmagic Design Best Australian Director Award, and the CinefestOZ Film Prize. The screenplay was also nominated for an AWGIE in 2025. Harvey wrote, directed, produced and stars in the film, playing dual roles as twins.

    Beyond SWEET MILK LAKE, Harvey is a two-time Heath Ledger Scholarship finalist, recipient of the Casting Guild of Australia’s Rising Star Award, and a Betty Roland Prize finalist for WHITE FEVER. His co-written episode of WHITE FEVER also received an AWGIE nomination.

    Harvey is currently developing his second feature, THUGS, with support from Screen Australia, alongside a slate of film and television projects.

    As an actor, Harvey is best known for playing series regular Charlie in the ABC comedy WHITE FEVER. He was also a series regular in DEADLOCH (Amazon Prime) and DON’T LOOK DEEPER (dir. Catherine Hardwicke), opposite Don Cheadle and Emily Mortimer. Additional screen credits include LOVE ME, SPREADSHEET, WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS and METROSEXUAL.

    Harvey’s stage acting credits include WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF (Sydney Theatre Company), GENDER EUPHORIA, BECAUSE THE NIGHT, HIR, THE ANTIPODES and SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER.

    As a director, Harvey was Director’s Attachment to Emma Freeman on the second season of THE NEWSREADER, and directed the Victorian Government campaign THE UNSAID SAYS A LOT. He is also a commissioned playwright with Malthouse Theatre

    Harvey is a dual Australian and British citizen and is represented in both Australia and the United States.
