Juan Pablo Arias Muñoz is a Chilean film director and writer known for the films Pumpkinhole (2022) and The Curse of the Necklace (2024). Drawing upon fantastical storytelling and magical realism from his Latin American heritage, he creates emotional and thought-provoking films. His award-winning work has been exhibited at over sixty film festivals around the world including the New York Film Festival, AFI Fest and SITGES Fantastic Film Festival. Juan Pablo received an MFA in Directing from the AFI Conservatory.
