Shahine El-Hamus

Shahine El-Hamus (2000) had his breakthrough with the lead role in The promise of Pisa (Norbert ter Hall), a film in which he plays a young trumpet player trying to break free from his surroundings. His powerful performance earned him a Golden Calf Award and confirmed his status as one of the standout talents of his generation.
Following this success, Shahine took on the lead role in the popular series Bestseller Boy, again based on a novel by Mano Bouzamour, where he once more proved himself a versatile actor. He also starred in the Netflix film Crypto Boy, directed by his brother Shady El-Hamus and featuring their father, in which he brought the complex dynamics of the digital world to the forefront.
Earlier in his career, he appeared in season three of A’DAM & E.V.A., the Videoland series Lieve Mama, Zina, (KRO-NCRV), and the arthouse film Met Mes by Sam de Jong.
Since January 2025, he has been appearing in the Videoland production Safe Harbor (created by Mark Williams) and he played in the feature film Street Coaches vs Aliens, directed by Michael Middelkoop.
He just wrapped shooting a large NPO-series, with more information coming soon.
