Biography

Shaun Davis hails from Wembley in Greater London, the intercultural capital of the world and the home of English football. The son of two hard-working Caribbean immigrants, he found an escape from the crushing sameness of late-90's Britain through the films of Quentin Tarantino and Michael Bay. Inspired to become a rule-breaking filmmaker, he dedicated himself to learning the rules so that he might break them more fully and artistically. To this end, he studied for a bachelor's degree in English Language and Communication at Middlesex University, where he wrote stylish and inscrutable journalistic prose.

Forced to take a slave-job at Marks & Spencer in order to repay a monumental student loan, he turned his attention to screenwriting, handcrafting his first feature-length screenplay, 'Calico', during slow periods in the frozen-food aisle. That script wasn't very good. However, his second screenplay, 'Codename: Vengeance' turned out great. A lighthearted riff on Leonard Freeman and Mel Goldberg's 'Hang 'Em High', 'Vengeance' tells the story of Chris Ryan, an ex-British Special Forces soldier with enhanced abilities, on his mission to seek revenge against the shady government organization responsible for the death of his wife.

Since then, Shaun has worked on numerous screenplays culminating in his latest feature-length script, "Kenya", considered by many to be his magnum opus.
