Biography

Simone Cilio is an Italian film composer. His passion for music emerged at a very young age, when he started playing drums at 6 years old. He is proficient in piano, guitar, drums, bass, and percussion, allowing him to explore a variety of sounds and arrangements.

With the release of his first instrumental album, "Accarezza il vento", it marked the beginning of a more mature artistic phase, where Simone began orchestrating and studying music applied to films.

In December 2015, he composed the score for the feature film Badsville, directed by April Mullen (Legends of Tomorrow, Lethal Weapon, Below Her Mouth, Simulant), starring Robert Knepper, Emilio Rivera. For this project, his score was nominated for Best Original Score at the 2016 Maverick Movie Awards.

Recognized with over 30 awards, he has become a sought-after figure in the film industry and, to date, he has worked on over 100 feature films including:

• Nanny Cam, starring Katie Cassidy, directed by Jenni JWOOW Farley

• Abominable, starring Brian Austin Green, directed by Ivan Mulero

Simone's work extends beyond films with collaborations with prestigious brands like Belmond, Roccoforte Hotels, Volvo, Audi, Olam. His work has received critical acclaim, and in 2019, the documentary The Last Signal won the Emmy Award for Best Documentary.
