Biography

Rooted in interior and graphic design, Roger Fires approaches production design with a clear architectural sensibility, shaping spaces that are both functional and emotionally expressive. Fires’ upcoming feature credits include the Scrubs reboot (2026) and on Psycho Killer (2026). In addition, he recently designed features Nobody (2021), Violent Night (2022) and Hypnotic (2023). His work is marked by a balance of strong visual identity and practical design solutions that support action, character, and tone.

Before transitioning fully into production design, Fires built extensive experience in art direction and graphic design across film, television, and commercial projects. His early film credits include graphic design work on Fifty Shades of Grey (2015), followed by art direction on series such as Timeless (2016) and Lost in Space (2018), as well as features including Colossal (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018).

Working across studio and independent features, Fires is a Brazilian-Canadian production designer based in Vancouver whose work blends a strong design foundation with bold, cinematic storytelling.
