Before transitioning fully into production design, Fires built extensive experience in art direction and graphic design across film, television, and commercial projects. His early film credits include graphic design work on Fifty Shades of Grey (2015), followed by art direction on series such as Timeless (2016) and Lost in Space (2018), as well as features including Colossal (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018).
Working across studio and independent features, Fires is a Brazilian-Canadian production designer based in Vancouver whose work blends a strong design foundation with bold, cinematic storytelling. His approach emphasizes clarity of space, visual coherence, and story-driven environments. His international background and multidisciplinary training continue to inform a versatile design sensibility across genres and scales of production.
