- Kenneth Bryan Candelas is the lead composer, lyricist and drummer for Homerik. As a boy, Ken grew up in an artistic home where creativity was encouraged. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to his mother, Abigail Valle (a noted fashion designer) and Hector Candelas (an in-demand session and touring musician). During his teenage years, Ken studied fine art at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, and received several awards for his artwork and designs including the Milton Glaser Award and First Place in the Directory of N.Y.C. Public High Schools Design Competition. Upon graduation, Ken decided to pursue his deep interest in rhythm and music production, following in his father's footsteps.
Graduating with honors from Queensborough Community College as a Music Production major, Ken also studied Music & Audio Technology at The City College of New York. He operates in New York City, associated with studios such as Masterdisk, Harvestworks, Spin Recording Studios, Big Yellow Duck and working full-time as a freelancer, alongside A.V.S. Production Group and Aura Sonic Ltd. He is also the drummer for Homerik and Four Trips Ahead.
