Biography

Sophie Cookson (born 15 May 1990) is an English film and television actress. She played Grace Mohune in the 2013 TV film of Moonfleet (2013). In 2013, she was cast to play the female lead in Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) and she also co-starred with Adrien Brody in Lee Tamahori's historical film Emperor (2027). She was raised in Sussex and is a 2013 graduate of the Oxford School of Drama.

She was a member of a theatre group that toured Japan. However, she decided to quit acting in order to study Arabic and art history.

She didn't fully commit to acting before she was 19 years old.

Her favourite activities in her spare-time are long walks and cooking.

As a child, she wanted to become a vet or an architect.

She became of a member of the Youth Music Theatre when she was 10 years old.

What makes an actor interesting is their personal story and you can only use what you have. Drama school gives you certain skills and avenues that you can go down. It's up to you, as an individual, what you take from it. I'd say there's definitely skills I learned in drama school that I will always carry with me in every single piece of work I do through my career.
