Jonathan Scales(I)
- Writer
- Second Unit Director or Assistant Director
- Producer
Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jonathan's artistic
inclination was fostered by southwestern culture and sharpened by his
aversion from a very Evangelical influence. Jonathan belonged and
graduated from The Boy Scouts of America as an Eagle Scout. He began
writing when he was eight years old when he managed to fill fifteen
composition books in one year with various short stories, plays, and
mock scripts. In high school he was editor of his school's yearbook, a
broadcast and film enthusiast, and frequent performer in school
productions. When he was seventeen he wrote and directed a full length
play (Naaman's Last Christmas) which received glowing attention from
the community. He moved to the Midwest to study film and English at
Huntington University. His attention has narrowed to screenwriting
where he ironically found success writing Youth For Christ's short
film, "The Gift of Hope".
