  • D.D. Wigley is the creative force behind The Godmother LLC, a fund which champions strongly cinematic storytelling from eloquent, visionary filmmakers around the world. She is an executive producer on the narrative features La muerte no tiene dueño / Death Has No Master (Jorge Thielen Armand, Cannes 2026) and the Academy Award nominee The Voice of Hind Rajab (Kaouther Ben Hania, Venice 2025).

    She is also an executive producer for the documentary features Seeds (Brittany Shyne, Sundance 2025), How to Build a Library (Maia Lekow & Christopher King, Sundance 2025), Suburban Fury (Robinson Devor, NYFF 2024), There Was, There Was Not (Emily Mkrtichian, True/False 2024), Milisuthando (Milisuthando Bongela, Sundance 2023), The 9 Lives of Barbara Dane (Maureen Gosling, 2023), and the Peabody Award nominee Sam Now (Reed Harkness, ZIFF 2022).

    As well, D.D. has executive producer credits for several short films, and has earlier producer credits for Anbessa (Mo Scarpelli, Berlinale 2019) and Be Natural: The Untold Story of Alice Guy-Blaché (Pamela B. Green, Cannes 2018).

    A multidisciplinary artist (playwright, actor, musician, photographer) and a longtime advocate for social impact, she is a former political activist and currently a philanthropist.
