Biography

James DeLorean is a Los Angeles-based TV writer whose credits include three freelance episodes of SYFY's 'The Ark' across Seasons 2 and 3, including a fan-favorite Season 2 episode. He brings writers' room experience and production-level execution to every project, with a voice rooted in nuanced character and high-concept genre storytelling.

His work is a dark, subversive, and often funny dissection of how nostalgia and trauma shape identity - and what it takes to move forward. A lifelong genre nerd, his influences range from 'Back to the Future' and 'RoboCop' to 'Star Trek II,' 'Terminator 2,' 'Gremlins 2,' and 'Short Circuit 2' (all second installments he believes improve upon their predecessors). Outside the writers' room, James spends time with his wife and golden retriever, is an avid long-distance runner, and restores 1980s computers - giving them a second life.
