- Clare O'Connor is a multi-hyphenate artist, actor, filmmaker, and writer. In her childhood, she trained extensively in ballet and other dance styles. She also studied comedy and improvisation with Gary Austin (founder of The Groundlings) in LA, NYC, and Seattle, and graduated from the Conservatory Program at the Second City in Chicago.
As an actor, she is best known for her Series Regular role portraying Young Madeline on PROVEN INNOCENT (FOX) opposite Kelsey Grammer. She has also appeared in guest star and co-star roles on NBC, ABC, and Netflix, and has booked leading and supporting roles in indie darling films, both shorts and features.
Her debut short film as writer/director, KIND MOTHER, premiered in 2025 and is currently still on the festival circuit, having screened at over 25 festivals worldwide to date, and having picked up several nominations and awards. George Saunders (Booker Prize-winner, MacArthur Fellow, National Book Award Finalist, and New York Times bestselling author, etc) described KIND MOTHER as "a taut, thrilling, deeply moving spiritual journey, all accomplished in a wildly entertaining fifteen minutes.
