Nikolina Lawless is high-functioning autistic and adhd with a gift for languages and dialects.She's traveled the world to explore the socio-political linguistic legacies of different cultures, having spent significant time in Russia, Ecuador, Mexico, Canada, and France with degrees from Brown University and the University of Washington Seattle.
She works on her comedy with the help of the Upright Citizen's Brigade Diversity Initiative and explores the often masked aspects of her autism through live performance art. She has completed two performance artist in residencies, one in Ecuador and most recently at EZTV Museum in Santa Monica. In Los Angeles, her works have been featured in art fairs at Bergamot Station and Frieze with 18th Street Arts Center as well as in the Santa Monica DNA (Digital New Arts) Festival and Getty Pacific Standard Time Arts & Science exhibit.
To manage her autism, when not performing, she prefers to keep to herself with her husband and two black mouth curs in Texas. She also enjoys European clowning and self-identifies as queer, she/they.
