Biography

Laulita Horton was born in a small town a few miles outside of Charleston, South Carolina. She was born to Sadie and Lonnie Hamilton. Lonnie Hamilton who was an actor known for Forrest Gump (1994). She was born onto a large family with eight girls and five boys. As one of the youngest children, she was always playing pranks on the older children. She attended Winthrop University after high school and received a Bachelor 's Degree in Education. Later she went back to college and received her Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy.

After college she married an army officer. Even though she was not a military person, she was able to help serve her country faithfully. She helped to hold the wives of military soldiers together as their husbands went off to prepare for military tactics. She traveled to Germany where she taught both American soldiers and their children. She taught high school completion for the soldiers, while at the same time, she was teaching elementary school for their children.

She was kept very busy because she was also raising her own young children. She has 2 children, a son Gregory Jr. and daughter, Clarissa Horton, an actress, known for Deceptive Hearts (2014).
