  • Megan J. Smith was born in Norfolk, Virginia. Living in over a dozen different states, she moved frequently since her father was in the Army. Megan studied Theatre Directing at Columbia College, Chicago before eventually making her way to New York where she studied acting at the Tom Todoroff Conservatory and started regular scene study at Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshop.

    In her 10 years in NYC, Megan wrote, produced and performed in sketch comedy at The People's Improv Theater, wrote and produced her own full-length play Silent Movie Dreams which premiered at The Hudson Guild and acted on-stage in Off Broadway productions of Henry V by William Shakespeare and Dutchman by Amiri Baraka among others. Making her foray into film, Megan wrote and directed a short film and music video called Fireworks which premiered at The Nitehawk Cinema in Brooklyn and was AD on a very important short film, Happy Hour, narrated by Julianne Moore.

    Megan now lives in LA with her husband, Sylvain and two dogs, Ryu and Lula. She has appeared in several indie films and is writing and producing a new series, We're NOT in Love with collaborator Rayyaan Jameel. She is a proud member of Actors Equity and is represented by CAP Management and Evolve Talent Agency.
