Biography

Shahn Christian Andersen was born in the frozen tundra of Syracuse, New York. During his formative years he lived in Utah (Elsinore), Florida (Miami), Oklahoma (Edmond), Tennessee (Nashville), Pennsylvania (Philly), New Jersey (Hackensack), and Staten Island (Ganas) before settling in Brooklyn, New York. Regardless of what age he was when got there, Shahn has always claimed that he "grew up" in Brooklyn.

He began pursuing creative endeavors at a young age, which fomented into community theatre, experimental music, hacker computing projects, avant-garde robotics, and architectural projects in high school and college. This led to some interesting creative output: Some of the most god-awful off-off-off-Broadway theatre New York City has ever offered; an electronic rock band named Nymph (New York Miles Per Hour) that released an album on an indie label and had one of their songs become a minor hit in Belgium and Israel; fulfilling the lifelong dream of acting on a telenovela for Mexican TV named "La Gata"; claims to be an international underwear model because 20 million people saw him in his boxers on the front page of Yahoo!; and the design and construction of a number of residential projects in the New York City metropolitan area.

He began exploring creative pursuits at a young age, which fomented into community theater, experimental music, hacker computing projects, avant-garde robotics, and architectural design during his high school and college years. This creative output produced a range of colorful results: some of the most gloriously terrible off-off-off-Broadway theater New York has ever endured; an electronic rock band named Nymph (New York Miles Per Hour) that released an indie album and scored a minor hit in Belgium and Israel; fulfilling a lifelong dream by appearing in the Mexican telenovela La Gata; a tongue-in-cheek claim to international underwear model status after 20 million people saw him in his boxers on Yahoo!'s front page; participated in the founding of two venture-backed technology companies; and the design and construction of several unique residential projects throughout the New York City area.

Shahn devotes most of his time to creative endeavors, but when he isn't designing or building something, he wrecks his body playing football in Brooklyn, occasionally runs a marathon, does scientific experiments on himself, or spends time with his family.
