Unconventional as most of her projects, Sara Coppola-Nicholson never needed to stop in front of challenges nobody else was able to face.

Born in a small town in Southern Italy, she attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce obtaining a 1st class honours both for BA and MA in Set Design and Theatre Directing. After working as a journalist and newsreader in a TV network for a year, she went back to studying and got her MSc in Computer Graphics. This lead Sara to contribute to major projects at national and international level in post-production for many years before moving to production and management. During her time in Rome, Florence and Milan, she worked on fashion shows and events for Gucci, Cavalli, Ferragamo, Freddy, Replay, including the renown Pitti Immagine; contributed to commercial campaigns for Nestle, Disney, Saint Gobain, Vinitaly, VUE Cinemas, etc., documentaries and live events including the Dali Universe London and Corriere della Sera.

In 2012 Sara moved to London where she produced a number of independent projects. Being of the strong opinion that technology should chase innovation to follow the needs of creativity, she produced Thirst for Blood (2014) and Alex the Vampire (2015), two short movies pushing the boundaries of new Sony cameras and CineAlta workflow. At the same time, her involvement with Foundry, granted her a substantial impact on R&D and experimental productions in cutting-edge collaborative international projects. Newer productions like Mules and BlindSight, the latter supported by major Studios and multi-Oscar winning industry players, are already setting a new definition of filmmaking in the New Media and VOD Era. Referring to her projects Sara often says "you're either scared or you're an idiot [as you have no idea of what we're doing here]": she's known to comfortably live on a constant feeling of unsettledness, where routine is something completely new, totally unheard of, that usually does not even exist yet (but she knows how to make it happen!).
