John Cato L. Finnebråten is a Norwegian visual effects artist, supervisor, and filmmaker known for his work on feature films and high-end screen productions, including Troll (2022), Rambo: Last Blood (2019), and The 12th Man (2017).
He began his career in television and commercial production, where he developed ideas, directed, and produced for some of Norway’s biggest television stations. After early experience in cinematography, editing, and motion graphics, he went on to specialize in VFX-heavy productions. His experience in digital visual effects spans compositing, CG, and supervision. He has built a career rooted in more than two decades of visual storytelling across Norwegian and international productions. He is also associated with Varg Studios, where he has worked in leading VFX roles.
