Biography

Omari Washington is a Chicago native with a deep passion for bringing characters to life, both on and off screen. His acting journey began at the age of 12, when he first set foot on stage. Driven by his love for the craft, Omari relocated 1,700 miles to Los Angeles in 2012 to pursue acting opportunities. Just a year later, he landed his first lead role as "Mack" in the Lionsgate action feature film Assassin's Game, starring alongside Tom Sizemore and Vivica A. Fox. That same year, he secured another lead role as "Carl" in the horror feature film Bunnyman Vengeance.

Omari's career continued to gain momentum, with lead roles in over 20 short films, which helped him gain industry recognition. With the support of a skilled manager, Omari secured larger auditions, ultimately landing five co-star roles in major network shows including All-American (CW), Lethal Weapon (Fox), Good Trouble (Freeform), The Bold and The Beautiful (CBS), and Pink Collar Crimes (CBS).

Expanding his talents beyond acting, Omari ventured into producing, with projects like short films and web series. His most notable production, Gracefully Broken, was a project he wrote, executive produced, and starred in, winning over 20 awards worldwide for Best Drama Short. Omari also earned four Best Actor awards for his portrayal of "Alex" in the film. He also won a Best Actor award for his portrayal of "Lewis" in the award-winning short film Checkmate for Life. Omari has 12 Best Actor awards and 5 nominations in his career thus far.

Omari is in post-production on a feature film he co-wrote, executive produced, directed, and starred in as "Kevin", titled Back Burner. The dramedy centers around a sous chef with a burning desire to win the Yum Network contest and become the next culinary superstar, despite working for an executive chef who doubts his abilities.
