- Jessica Hua Shen is a Chinese director based in Beijing and Los Angeles. Jessica has directed projects from 2005 to the present day that have been aired across many countries and streaming services. The views in total across all these films and shows have nearly reached 1 billion views. For 5 years, Jessica worked as a TV writer and director for the popular TV variety show World Film Report airing at China National Television. After graduating from Columbia University in New York City with a MFA degree in Film Production, she worked as the B Unit Director for China's most expensive TV production, "Xiao Ba Ba" ("Young Dad"), starring China's top actors. "Young Dad" was the most viewed TV series in China in 2013 and won numerous awards. Jessica directed all 16 episodes of the streaming series "Forever Young", a spinoff of the box office blockbuster film "Zhi Zi Hua Kai", ("Forever Young"). This series reached over 50 million viewers when launched. From there, she went on to direct all 45 episodes of the TV series "Love in Araya", one of China's most expensive TV productions filmed in China and Australia. She also directed all 24 episodes of the streaming series "Shi Jian Dao Shu Yu Jian Ni", ("Countdown to Love You"). This series was launched on China's leading platform, Tencent, and reached over 700 million viewers. Jessica was hand selected to be one of the Ten Young Directors to Watch in 2015 as well as having her original film "Him of Yesterday" selected by the Shanghai International Film Festival. She currently directs Micro-Dramas that can be viewed on ReelShort, DramaBox, DramaWave, NetShort, and ShortMax.
