Biography

JaQwan J. Kelly is an actor from Harlem, New York most known for his work as rap legend Jamel Irief/Masta Killa in Hulu's WuTang: An American Saga. Acting, which started as merely a hobby in elementary school, became JaQwan's passion as he recieved more rigorous training at the Harlem School of the Arts and SUNY Purchase, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Performance.

Growing up in Harlem, JaQwan was always inspired by the rich art and culture of his roots. His mission as an artist now is to give voice to the stories that have shaped the black experience. His role as Watergate security guard Frank Wills in Steven Spielberg's The Post led him to co-write and co-produce the short film He, The People in which he portrays the renowned black security guard who affected the course of American history.

JaQwan's mission is to consistently inspire and empower his peers and the next generation of actors and artists he encounters through his impact and art.
