Irene Freundt is a costume designer and supervisor based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, known for her expertise in historical and period film projects. She holds a degree in Fashion Design from the Chavón School of Design (2010) and a Master's in Costume Design for Film from BAU School of Design in Barcelona (2012). Irene's portfolio includes notable works such as If Beale Street Could Talk (2018), inspired by 1970s New York; The Long Song (2018), set in the 19th century; Hotel Cocaine (2024), highlighting disco-era 1970s fashion in Miami; A Thousand Blows (2024), set in late 1870s England; and Coolie (2024), depicting the influence of Chinese slaves in 1860s-70s Cuba. Fluent in Spanish, English, and French, Irene brings a culturally rich and detail-oriented approach to her work, with aspirations to expand her influence in international projects.
