Born December 5th, 1977 in Melbourne, Australia with a Maltese family background, Pia Borg uses film and video installations to question what form is, how reality is mediated, and how genres such as sci fi and horror and non fiction are separately constructed yet approach each other.She graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2008 and has worked in London as well as Los Angeles. She uses archival footage, CGI animation, and reenacted material in her work and has recently explored such phenomena as false memory syndrome, collective hysteria, and extractive mineral industries.
