Biography

Juan Camilo González (1984) is a multifaceted filmmaker who began his career as a director with 'La Montaña del Silencio' (2014), a feature film in which he worked as a screenwriter, editor and producer. He has directed and written the children's short films 'Zapatos y la Mágica Aventura de su Creación' (2019) and 'Dientes Peludos' (2024). He is currently in post-production on his latest animated short, Emechiche (2025). He has also worked as producer or general producer on the short films 'Tras la Montaña' (2016), 'La Ballena Escarlata' (2017), 'Lea Salvaje' (2020) and 'Los Hermanos Calavera' (2020). In the area of animated series, he is the general producer of 'Ugamú, mi enemigo imaginario', directed by Yuyu Velasco, and 'Floppy the Robot'. He is working on the post-production of the feature films 'Semillas' and 'La Piel Mordida', and on the development of the animated film 'Los monstruos de las estrellas' and the live-action films 'Los preferidos de la noche' and 'La mujer de los peces'.
