Mitch Blummer

Mitch Blummer is a filmmaker and cinematographer with over 20 years of experience in New York City. His work has screened at International Film Festivals, on major streamers, and widely on the Web. When skateboarding put a camera in Mitch's hand as young teenager it wasn't long before he was producing narrative and documentary short films, leading him to complete his undergraduate BFA at SVA in filmmaking. Mitch continues to create and collaborate on independent cinema projects in both the narrative and documentary realms. At this time Mitch is attempting to get his next feature financed, and pursue projects as a cinematographer. He is continuously on the look out for essential voices and compelling stories. His company, Blummer Productions provides production resources as well as creative input into many of the projects he takes on. Mitch also works as a specialty camera operator providing signature naturalistic camera moves by using combinations of the latest cinema camera gimbal technologies combined with good old fashioned handheld techniques.
