Mini bio

  • Paula Jay Fairbrother, is an Emmy Award winning Executive Producer (I Stand: The Guardians of the Water). She was born and raised in Bloomington, Minnesota (don'tcha know!) and graduated from St. Olaf College with a B.A. in Speech/Theater Education. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles and worked in TV/Film production at various studios, including Walt Disney, Warner, Steve Bochco Productions and TriStar Television. At 29, wanderlust ensued, and she solo-backpacked through Europe for 3 months. The trip was so amazing she moved to Germany and lived there for 13 years, putting her creative talents to use in many ways: as a USO tour guide to over 60 cities throughout Europe; enjoying 7 years producing, directing and training over 400 volunteers at the award-winning Razz-Ma-Tazz Family Theater, Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany; and working as a Microsoft-certified trainer, courseware writer and program manager for USARMY Europe. Paula returned to the USA in 2006 and started taking acting classes in 2012. She booked her first SAG feature in 2014. In 2016, Paula moved back to Los Angeles and was cast on the #1 children's show, Henry Danger. Her 80 minute solo show, "Surviving 'MN Nice' . . . and Becoming Brave AF!" opened to a Sold Out crowd at the Whitefire Theater Solofest two weeks before COVID shut the theaters down. National Commercial work includes Liberty Mutual, United Airlines, Austedo, Credit Karma, Busch Light Beer, and Valspar. 2025 has been a great year with bookings on: For All Mankind (AppleTV), BEEF (Netflix), Monster: The Ed Gein Story (Netflix), Lanterns (HBO), and The Comeback (HBO) - all airing in 2026. Paula enjoys continued adventures in world travel, writing, photography, scuba diving, and indulging in great ice cream.
