Biography

T.J. Buckner was born in Shreveport, LA in 1965. He began his acting career in high school, in 1982, playing the role of Mortimer Brewster in "Arsenic and Old Lace". After which he worked with Gas Light Players in Shreveport, playing in such Charles Ludlam plays as "The Mystery of Irma Vep" and "Murder in the Magnolias". He wrote and directed several stage plays in the early '90's, before transitioning to the screen. T.J. has written and directed six short films, "The Cleansing Storm", "Philosophy of Hate", "The Apology", "The Canvas", "Perils of Penelope", and "Beyond Repair". He has played roles in "Philosophy of Hate", as well as "Twenty-Twenty", written and directed by Clyde Williams. In 2015 he played the arresting officer in indie feature film, "A Quiet Storm", by Jason Affolder, Vlad the Homeless Russian in indie feature film, "Black Water", by Brian Fairbanks, and Detective Debreau in the indie feature film "Foreclosure: Dead Deed", by Tedo November. As of this update, late 2015, Buckner is cast in the role of Kane, in Seaun Carlo's grindhouse feature, "Kill Those God Damn Bastards", the role of Frank Mills in Chris Henry's television pilot, "Gumbeaux Pot", and the role of Michael in Andre Leblanc's short film, "The Phantom Agony".
