Biography

Chandru was born in Benin, Nigeria and was raised between Nigeria, India and the UK. He made his television debut as a child in Kamini Kaushal's "Chand Sitare"(1996). Chandru returned to his acting in 2012 where he won the supporting lead role in Puneet Issar's, "Born to be King." Since then Chandru has gone on to feature in both Hollywood and Bollywood films including, Paradise Place (2013), And Then I Was French (2015), Dad Hold My Hand (2015), David and Goliath (2015), Project Evolution (2015) and Fan (2016).

Chandru also co-starred with Rebecca Hall in the critically acclaimed short film, Ruminate (2014) and performed in Example's music video, Whisky Story (2015).

Chandru is a published author with 2 books under his belt entitled 'Love That Shit!' (Non Fiction) and 'The Journey of Om' (Fiction). He also several short stories published in various anthologies.

Chandru dreamed of playing point-guard for the New York Knicks and his dream was some what realised when he had the opportunity to walk around on the Madison Square Garden court for his job at the time.

A Masters graduate in Business, Chandru worked in New York before returning to Nigeria to run an import business for a decade. He only pursued his passion for acting once returning back to the UK.
