Jennifer Douglas is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in dialect coaching, accent modification, transgender voice (male to female, female to male), elocution, voiceover troubleshooting, vocal endurance, media training, and voice rehabilitation. Her clinical background in voice and linguistics, paired with experience coaching entertainment and international professionals, makes her uniquely qualified to balance the Science with the Art in acquiring and teaching authentic dialects and accents. This rare combination of skills also allows her to successfully teach disordered or unusual speech patterns, e.g., stuttering, autism, dysarthria, apraxia, etc, as well as providing for special expertise in the coaching of child actors, with particular strength in the utilization of techniques that are optimal for their age and development. Jennifer is highly skilled in researching preferred or less common dialects in the pre-production stage, with audio samples provided to the Production Team and/or Talent for selection, as well as in-room vetting of accents during the casting process.
