- Florence Giovani has background in visual communication design and she worked as a graphic designer after graduated from college. But her interest in film has existed since she was a kid. She has spent a lot of her time for watching film and series, that inspired her to be a filmmaker.
She started her career in filmmaking when she was in college, as producer in 'Territorial Pissing' (2010) that won Best Short Film at the Jogja-Netpac Asian Film Festival 2010. Her short film 'Langit Masih Gemuruh' (2015) was nominated for the best short film in Busan International Short Film Festival 2016. Her short film 'Elegi Melodi' (2018) was nominated for Best Short Film in Festival Film Indonesia (Piala Citra).
She is developing her debut feature film that will be on cinema in 2020. She is founder of Studio Antelope, a film and content creation company with Jason Iskandar, who is film director and writer.
