Biography

Hassan Saeed is an award-winning Saudi film director and producer. A graduate of Toronto Film School's Film Production program in 2013, he has worked across documentaries, feature films, short films, and television productions for more than a decade.

His documentary El Pianist won the Jury Prize at the Beirut International Film Festival and the Alexandria Short Film Festival. As a producer, his credits include the award-winning films King of Journalism, Antidote, and Old Phone Number, with King of Journalism and Antidote receiving multiple Golden Palm Awards at the 2023 Saudi Film Festival.

As a producer, Hassan has overseen a wide range of documentary, television, and entertainment projects. Between 2019 and 2020, he produced major productions for Riyadh Season, collaborating with some of Saudi Arabia's most prominent artists and entertainers. In 2022, he produced the documentary Gamers8, chronicling one of the world's largest esports and gaming events.

In 2024 , he produced a documentary on acclaimed Saudi actor Abdulmohsen Al-Nemr and in 2024 completed producing a 20-episode documentary series for Qomra Productions with support from the Saudi Ministry of Culture. He also produced the 10-episode documentary series Rhythm of the Earth, which explores traditional performing arts and cultural heritage across the regions of Saudi Arabia.

His work is dedicated to documenting Saudi culture, arts, and contemporary stories while bringing local narratives to audiences in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
