Roberto Doveris launches Niña Niño Films in 2010, where he produces the feature films "Plants" (2016), "Potential Victim" (2018), "The Prince" (2019), "(Im)Patient" (2021), "Phantom Project" (2022) and "Outsider Girls" (2023). Currently he works on the post-production of feature films "Antitropical" (Camila José Donoso) and "Bloody Red Nails" (R. Doveris).
He was editor in chief at CinemaChile between 2010 and 2015. His directorial debut "Plants" was premiered at Berlinale Generation 14+ winning the Best Feature Film Award and the Crystal Bear Special Mention. His second film as director "Phantom Project" (2022) was premiered at the Tiger Competition at IFFR (Rotterdam), and won the best leading role award at BAFICI (Argentine).
As producer, he has premiered "Potential Victim" (dir. Nicolás Guzmán, 2018) in the Rebels with a cause Selection at Tallinn Black Nights PÖFF, "The Prince" (dir. Sebastián Muñoz, 2019) in the Critic's Week at Venice Int. Film Festival, where it has won the Queer Lion Award, and in Horizontes Latinos at San Sebastian Film Festival. The film has also won the Premio Platino for Best Supporting Role. In 2021 Doveris' premiered "(Im)Patient" (dir. Constanza Fernández) in the World Cinema Selection at Busan IFF, and the film won the Silver Award at Festival Iberoamericano de Huelva (Spain). In 2022 he produces the documentary "Me gustaría que vivieras mi juventud de nuevo" (dir. Nicolás Guzmán), premiered at SANFIC y FIDOCS, and in 2023 he's premiered "Outsider Girls" (dir. Alexandra Hyland) in the Bright Future Selection at IFFR Rotterdam.
As an editor, Roberto Doveris has been part of "La Mentirita Blanca" (dir. Tomás Alzamora, 2017), winner as best script at Miami IFF, the comedy "Swing" (dir. Luis Smok, 2018) distributed by BF and HBO, the documentary "Monstruo" (dir. Lucas Quintana, 2018), premiered at FICGuadalajara (México) and from its own company "Outsider Girls" (2022) and "Plants" (2016).
