Carlos McConnie is an internationally recognized and well-known television host and actor who is known as Co-Presenter & Social Media Host for Sábado Gigante. Most recently he was the Social Media Host for Nuetsra Belleza Latina, Co-Host for "NBL Extra"; this in addition to co-presenting the final season of "Mira Quien Baila" & hosting of the "Mira Quien Baila Extra" post-show. He has simultaneously moonlighted as entertainment reporter for Univision.com, and UVideos.com. Born in Puerto Rico, McConnie has achieved success in various markets. Throughout his career, he has been able to not only pursue his acting career but also host and judge the entertainment industry's most popular programs and beauty pageants. Previously, McConnie became recognized for being the main male host for MTV Puerto Rico. As part of his lucrative screen career, he co-hosted JangueoTV, a youth-oriented entertainment spot transmitted by WAPA and WAPA América. Then, for several years, he worked as host and reporter for Flashazo VIP (primetime weekly entertainment newscast and variety show) on Univision Puerto Rico. His wide spread popularity has earned him invitations to judge Univision's "Nuestra Belleza Latina" in 2012, during the reality show and beauty pageant's auditions in Puerto Rico. In addition to this guest spot, he has been guest presenter for Univision's "Sal y Pimienta" and "Despierta América", Telefutura's "Escandalo TV," and Venevision's "Portadas." The talented host and actor is also considered to be one of the most handsome men by several notable publications. In 2010, McConnie was named "Most Eligible Bachelor of Puerto Rico." The island's leading daily newspaper, Primera Hora, also named him "The Most Handsome Person on TV," and TV y Novelas magazine selected him for the cover of their "25 Most Beautiful Bodies" edition. In 2012, McConnie received the most votes amongst male nominees for TV y Novela magazine's "Television's 25 Most Beautiful Faces." Additionally, he has been making waves in Hollywood, California by starring in several short films that are scheduled to premiere in the film festival circuit, and as the host of some web-based English language entertainment programs. Furthermore he is in post-production of an original short film that he wrote and directed; and recently directed, produced and hosted the pilot episode of his own program "¡Entérate! ...con McConnie". Aside of his acting and hosting career, McConnie is actively involved in philanthropic organizations in which he uses his image in support of several non-profit organizations, such as the Teletón USA & Muscular Dystrophy Association of Puerto Rico. He was also the Master of Ceremonies of the B-Cool Sound Loaded 2010 and 2011 concert in the Roberto Clemente Coliseum, co-Host of the TV-Marathon "Espectacular SER" and has been selected to be part of the mass media campaign for Guardian Angels, which raises awareness on the responsible consumption of alcohol. McConnie studied in the prestigious Robinson School in Puerto Rico and earned his Bachelor in Business Administration and Master in Arts in Communications from Sacred Heart University.
