Elissa Alcala

Elissa "E" Alcalá, a burgeoning talent in costume design, hails from a lineage deeply rooted in the film industry. Her journey into costume design was a natural progression fostered by her upbringing as the daughter of the renowned director and cinematographer Felix Enriquez Alcalá.

Alcalá's academic pursuit in fashion design led her to obtain a BFA from Parsons School of Design. This choice underscored her commitment to merging fashion and cinematic storytelling. This education laid the foundation for her to explore and refine her craft, eventually becoming a member of Local 705, the costume designers' union, where she honed her skills and contributed to the visual narrative of numerous productions.

Alcalá's portfolio boasts impressive contributions to some of the most visually captivating and narratively engaging projects in recent years. Notably, her role as Co-Designer on "Foundation" Season 3, alongside Shawna Trpcic, showcases her ability to bring fantastical worlds to life through meticulous costume design. Her work has not gone unrecognized; Alcalá is a Costume Designers Guild Award winner for her contributions to "Ahsoka" and "The Book of Boba Fett." Moreover, her talent was further acknowledged through an Emmy nomination for her work on "The Mandalorian" Season 3, solidifying her position as a significant force in the industry.
