- Aribert Reimann was born on March 4, 1936 in Berlin, Germany. He was a writer and composer, known for Medea (2011), Schauplatz (1980) and Theater in der Kritik (1971). He died on March 13, 2024 in Berlin, Germany.
- In 2011 he was awarded the Ernst von Siemens Music Prize for his life's work.
