Biography

Brandon Arthur Jones is an Artist, Actor, Director, Writer and Video Producer from Louisville, Kentucky.

Best known for producing and starring in award-winning short films, and for creating a series of underground fake commercial comedy parodies in the early '00s called Holy Muckle. (Originals can be found on Vimeo)

Jones landed the starring role of D'artangan in a stage production of Jon Jory's "The Two Musketeers" for the Bunbury Theater. For the production he also designed and painted an elaborate 3-piece backdrop set depicting England and France as the play locations.

Jones works professionally as a pre-to-post production marketing video producer and YouTube Channel manager, as well as being an active writer, actor, grip, set designer, and book designer.

His fine art canvas paintings have made for popular print sales, by creating energetic portraits of famous icons. Jones' original compositions use emotion, observation, nature, and music to combine elements of cubism, surrealism, and abstract design onto the canvas. He attended the Kansas City Art Institue for Design/Illustration with a minor in Sculpture.

Brandon's first theater role was as the Lead, "D'artagnon" in Jon Jory's "The Two Musketeers", directed by Juergen Tossman at the Bunbury Theater in Louisville. In addition to acting in the lead role, he painted set design background mural for the production.

Brandon self-produced a series parody commercials in the early 2000s called "Holy Muckl"e, which were shown at various clubs and galleries in the early 2000s, including the Swanson Contemporary Gallery in Louisville, and as an opening act for a My Morning Jacket concert.

He is best known for his work with the band My Morning Jacket, starring as "A.Man" in the concert film Okonokos, and as "Hologram Man" in AMEX Unstaged "Circuital" directed by Todd Haynes'. Brandon played "The Bartender" and directed the Animation for MMJ's music video "Holdin' on to Black Metal", a video that was requested by VH1 to produce.
