Named as one of A.V. Club's 10 female filmmakers to hire, festival favorite Izzy Lee is a director and author on the rise. Lee has directed dozens of shorts and shadowed director Adam Egypt Mortimer on the SpectreVision film Archenemy. Her long-awaited first feature, the phantasmagoric House of Ashes, is currently on Tubi. Several of her short stories have found publication, including The Sauce is Never the Same in the upcoming Stephen King anthology, Views From the Overlook, due in 2027 from Vintage. The psychological and supernatural horror story, I Can See Your Lies, is her first book.
Lee’s award-winning films, including the Fangoria Chainsaw Award-nominated Meat Friend, have screened at major international genre festivals, such as Fantasia, Overlook, Morbido, FrightFest, Fantaspoa, Brooklyn Horror, and Chattanooga. Additionally, Lee earned six Certificates of Completion from Sundance Collab’s directing, producing, IP adaptation, and visual storytelling courses.
