Biography

Denzel Johnson is an American actor from New Orleans, Louisiana, whose work spans television and film.

Johnson has appeared in recurring roles on ABC’s 9-1-1 and The CW’s All American, with additional television credits including CSI: Vegas, Queen Sugar, Mindhunter, The Rookie, Countdown, Nemesis, Quantum Leap, The Neighborhood, The Upshaws, Claws and NCIS: New Orleans.

His film credits include A24’s Famous and William Friedkin’s final film, The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, in which Johnson portrayed J.P. Simmons.

Johnson began performing in theater before expanding into television and film. His stage work includes Captain Davenport in A Soldier’s Play, Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Move.

Originally from New Orleans, Johnson later relocated to Los Angeles, where he continues to work across film and television.
