Raised on a farm in the South of France, with a French-Spanish heritage, Sophie Venecia Reyes grew up deeply connected to nature and community. Her journey began in sports, as a gymnast, before moving into fashion, inspired by the love of creation passed down from her grandmother. She launched a couture brand with a strong focus, from the outset, on impact through partnerships with NGOs.
Driven by a passion for storytelling and a desire to express both her creativity and cultural roots, she found in cinema a powerful way to create meaningful and lasting impact. Throughout her career, she uses this medium to advocate for Mother Earth and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlighting cultural heritage, social justice, and the interconnectedness of humanity and nature.
Her time as a producer at Cinefeel Prod, a highly respected French production company, was a turning point. There, they co-produced internationally acclaimed works such as Faces Places by Agnès Varda & JR (César and Oscar awards) and The Guardians by Xavier Beauvois (Toronto International Film Festival).
In 2018, inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Ikigai, she founded an impact production company, TERRAGLORIA. The company’s mission is guided by what she calls the 4C’s: Create, Connect, Contribute, and Change. TERRAGLORIA produces impact-driven films and series that illuminate urgent global issues, from true stories and cultural heritage, to Mother Earth, sustainable agriculture, sport, and women’s and youth empowerment. Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the films are supported by global impact campaigns developed in collaboration with NGOs, visionaries, and cultural change-makers.
In 2021, she was selected to follow a Mentoring program (Producer - Director - Actress) with the 50/50 Collective, which works for gender equality in the audiovisual sector.
Her most recent short film (as Director), ¡No Nos Callarán!, earned the Special Jury Prize at the 54th WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival and was recognized at numerous international festivals, including those qualifying for the César Awards. Her upcoming project, ACT EARTH, a feature environmental documentary officially endorsed by UNESCO, will be filmed in 2026.
Her latest project includes producing, directing, acting in, and editing The Daughters of the Sea, a poetic and environmentally driven story that marks her first feature film.
As a speaker, she has shared her experience in impact cinema at events such as the Venice Film Festival, the World Economic Forum in Davos, and Climate Week in New York. Today, she continues to lead a cinematic movement for positive impact, using storytelling, creativity, and art not just to share stories, but as catalysts for change, to transform lives and inspire a hopeful, peaceful, and regenerative future.
