Biography

Alec Schultz is a multi award winning Australian cinematographer and steadicam operator. His recent awards include being presented with a Golden Tripod at the 2024 ACS National Awards, along with multiple GOLD ACS State Awards. His work has also been recognised internationally taking away Best Short Film and Finalist for Best Cinematography at Rising Sun TOKYO, Best Cinematography MONTREAL Film Festival, Best Foreign Film (UK Horror Film Festival), Best Short Film LOS ANGELES Crime and Horror Film Festival, Best Short Film Unrestricted view FIlm Festival, Best Short Film Horroginals Film Festival, Best Short Film at Fixion Fest, as a Finalist as CANES Indie Shorts, Best International film at Fantastic Horror Film Festival SAN DIEGO, Best Short Film in Luminary Independent Film Fiesta, PARIS. With a diverse background through various departments, Alec is a valuable asset on set, having worked on some of Australia largest productions in on set Visual Effects and Art department, he as excelled in the Camera department and is now highly sought after camera operator and steadicam operator. With over 8+ years of steadicam experience, as well as a background in movement including ballet and parkour/freerunning and stunts, he is able to merge dynamic camera movement into his true passion that is story telling.

Alec was once a Parkour Instructor for the Australian Parkour Association and still trains Parkour to this day.
