Biography

Nicholas Sando is a producer and the CEO of the production company Filmbin, based in Lillehammer, Norway. He graduated from the College of Lillehammer in 2005 and joined Filmbin in 2008, working on the feature film Bestevenner (Rafiki, 2009). In his early years in the industry, Nicholas focused on location before transitioning to production.

He produced Christian Lo's Los Bando (2018), which became the most awarded feature film in Norway that year, winning over 20 international awards. The film was also nominated for the Crystal Bear at Berlinale and the Young Audience Award at the European Film Awards.

In addition to Filmbin's own feature projects, Nicholas has produced the TV series Helium (2018) and co-produced several international films, including the Swedish feature Mini-Zlatan and Uncle Darling (2022), the Croatian feature My Grandpa Is an Alien (2019), and the Norwegian TV series Fjols til fjells (2020). His most recent co-production was the Norwegian box office hit Christmas in Cobbler's street (2023), produced by Nordisk Film Production. Nicholas has also contributed to numerous external projects, including Twigson, Kon-Tiki (2012), Netflix's Lilyhammer (2012), and Lion Woman (2016), among others. In 2022, he line-produced Magnus Martens' There's Something in the Barn (2023).

He participated in the EAVE Producers Workshop in 2020 and attended FOCAL Production Value in 2024.
